January 2008 Feature - Shirt from Hiroshima, 2007

Art Cries Out members have chosen to feature an artist's struggles with art against nuclear weaponry for its January 2008 feature.

Member Artist Leonard Meiselman shows us his "Painting - In - Progress" of a child's shirt he viewed while visiting the Peace Museum at Ground Zero in Hirshima in 2004.

Call for Entries - Protest Art of 2007

Art Cries Out is accepting entries to Online Exhibition - Protest Art of 2007.

Deadline - February 29, 2008.

Selected artists will be featured on an Online Exhibition.

Featured artists will be selected by a jury of Art Cries Out members.

Featured artists will have a portfolio page with bio, statement, 1-3 images and links.

Artists not selected for current exhibition may be selected for future showings.

Art Cries Out will advertise internationally.

Periodic online reviews of this exhibition by New York critics and curators will be posted.

Entries submitted will also be viewed by a membership committee.

A select number of artists will be invited to apply for membership. Membership is by invitation only.

Call for Entries - Online Iraq War Memorial

We need memorials to express and record our understanding of this war.

Art Cries Out is accepting entries for an Online Iraq War Memorial.

Entries may consist of: Drawing, Installation, Painting, Photograph, Poster, Sculpture, Video, Other Visual Art.

ENTRIES WILL BE JUDGED ON: Social, historic and human content, depth of thought, sensitivity to issues, and artistic merit; not on political persuasion. WINNER: Will recieve a first prize of $1000.00 (US). Jury may elect to create multiple categories and duplicate prizes. All finalist entries will be posted. Entries must be received by March 31st, 2008.
